Employment Opportunities at JIS: 2026-27 School Year

Student Support & Wellbeing Teacher (Inclusion)

This is a full-time role for a Student Support and Wellbeing Teacher at Japanese International School Hong Kong. The Student Support and Wellbeing Teacher will be responsible for collaborating with classroom teachers to provide inclusive support in various formats (in class, small group and individual) in order to meet the needs of all students. They will work with the Student Support Coordinator to ensure learning provision for all students is met.

Qualifications & Experience

Have a minimum of two years experience in a student support/ individual learning needs setting
Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse environment
Hold a Bachelor Degree in Education, or a Bachelor Degree in any subject with a PGCE (Postgraduate Certification of Education) or equivalent
Excellent English speaker with sound written and and oral communication
Experience with the IB PYP desirable but not essential
Postgraduate qualification in Special Education or similar desirable but not essential

Supply Teaching Opportunities at JIS: Ongoing Applications

Applications are welcome for supply teaching positions at any time.

During the school year, there are times when teaching staff are involved in training workshops or may be on sick leave. JIS would welcome interest from suitably qualified teachers to act as supply teachers during these periods.
